Geographical location of Domaine Drouhin-Laroze
Domaine Drouhin-Laroze is located in Gevrey-Chambertin, between Beaune and Dijon. The vines cover a total of 11.5 hectares, spread over several communes. Most of the Pinot Noir parcels are located between the communes of Vougeot, Chambolle-Musigny, Gevrey-Chambertin and Morey-Saint-Denis. The diversity of soils and climates gives each bottle of red wine a unique flavor on the palate. In Gevrey-Chambertin, Domaine Drouhin-Laroze owns a 0.44-hectare parcel of land at Au Closeau. This represents 80% of the appellation. The domaine therefore benefits from near-exclusivity of the Premier Cru Au Closeau appellation.
Domaine Drouhin-Laroze wines
Thanks to its hectares of vines, the Drouhin family can offer six Pinot Noir Grands Crus. These include Latricières-Chambertin, Clos de Vougeot, Chapelle-Chambertin, Chambertin Clos de Bèze, Bonnes-Mares and Musigny. The domaine also boasts four Premiers Crus in the Gevrey-Chambertin appellation, including Lavaux-Saint-Jacques and Clos Prieur. Four Pinot Noir cuvées in the Village appellation complete the range: Chambolle-Musigny, Morey-Saint-Denis, Gevrey-Chambertin En Champs and Dix Climats. The domaine is also active in the wine trade, under the name Maison Laroze de Drouhin.
