Geographical location of Domaine Thibert
Domaine Thibert has the rare distinction of producing all the South Mâconnais crus. The vineyards stretch over the communes of Fuissé, Saint-Vérand, Loché, Prissé, Vinzelles and, further north, Verzé. Sandrine and Christophe Thibert are fortunate to be able to express their know-how on a wide variety of terroirs. They cultivate according to the principles of integrated viticulture. The use of phytopharmaceutical products is limited to what is strictly necessary to protect the vines.
Domaine Thibert wines
The richness of Domaine Thibert's production has led them to classify their white Burgundy wines as "terroirs d'exception", " magnums" and "grands classiques".
The "terroirs d'exception" include ten Chardonnay white wine cuvées known as "cuvées parcellaires". These top-quality cuvées perfectly represent the meticulous expertise of the Thibert children. Produced in small quantities, these confidential wines are ideal for laying down. Examples include Mâcon-Fuissé Bois de la Croix, Mâcon-Prissé En Chailloux and Pouilly-Fuissé Vignes Blanches, not forgetting Saint-Véran Bois de Fée.
The great classics include the principal crus of the Mâcon region. Each represents its own terroir. Blends vary to reveal their individual identities. These wines are best drunk young. They can, however, be kept for several years. Domaine Thibert offers Bourgogne Chardonnay, Mâcon-Fuissé, Mâcon-Verzé, Saint-Véran and Pouilly-Fuissé Héritage.
