Geographical location of Domaine Christian Clerget

Domaine Christian Clerget covers 6 hectares around the Vougeot winery, as well as in the communes of Chambolle-Musigny, Morey-Saint-Denis, Flagey-Échezeaux and Vosne-Romanée. The vineyards are planted almost exclusively with Pinot Noir. These famous Côte de Nuits terroirs, combined with meticulous vineyard management, contribute to the production of 8 top-quality cuvées. Christian and Isabelle Clerget harvest by hand, with 100% destemming. Only the finest grapes are kept after table sorting. Aging lasts from 18 to 20 months, resulting in the production of well-balanced wines with a long ageing potential.

Domaine Christian Clerget wines

This small Côte de Nuits domaine produces a wide range of red Burgundy appellations, including one Grand Cru and two Premiers Crus. The tannic Échezeaux Grand Cru comes from the climat en Orveaux, above Clos de Vougeot. Chambolle-Musigny Premier Cru Les Charmes is a classic Burgundy wine. The Vougeot Premier Cru Les Petits Vougeots surprises with its delicate tannins.

Other Domaine Christian Clerget wines include Morey-Saint-Denis, Vosne Romanée Les Violettes, Chambolle-Musigny and Bourgogne Pinot Noir. The domaine also produces a rare white wine, Morey-Saint-Denis Les Crais, with 90% Chardonnay, 5% Pinot Blanc and 5% Pinot Meunier.
