Geographical location of Domaine Nicole Lamarche

Domaine Nicole Lamarche covers a dozen hectares in the communes of Vosne Romanée, Nuits-Saint-georges, Flagey-Échezeaux and Vougeot. This is the mythical heart of the Côte de Nuits, world-famous for its great Burgundy wines. Grands crus are produced on parcels of ferruginous limestone soil with clay-marl, rocky or stony subsoils. The result is full-bodied wines that age well. The red wines of the Vosne-Romanée appellation come from plots with clay-limestone soils. These are lighter wines than the Premier Crus produced by Domaine Nicole Lamarche.

The domaine switched from sustainable agriculture toorganic farming in 2010. Nicole Lamarche harvests the grapes by hand and sorts them on tables. The wines are aged in oak barrels for 14 to 20 months, depending on the appellation and cuvée.

Domaine Nicole Lamarche is unique in having only one wine, La Grande-Rue Grand Cru Monopole. It also produces red grand cru wines such as Échezeaux grand cru, Clos-du-Vougeot grand cru and Grands-Échezeaux grand cru.

The domaine also produces red Burgundy premier cru. One example is Vosne-Romanée premier cru Les Suchots. Nicole Lamarche also offers Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Nuits and Bourgogne rouge.
