The parcels are divided between Chambolle-Musigny and Prémeaux-Prissey, in the Nuits-Saint-Georges appellation. In this commune, the vines belong to a single climat, Clos de la Maréchale. Domaine Jacques-Frédéric Mugnier wines

Domaine Jacques-Frédéric Mugnier cultivates its wines using sustainable agriculture methods. He claims his refusal of organic certification as a guarantee of freedom and the quality of each vintage. The grapes are completely destemmed before vinification. This is done with as little intervention as possible, to allow the wine's character to express itself fully.

Domaine Jacques-Frédéric Mugnier produces two wines classified as Grands Crus: Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru and Musigny Grand Cru. Both come from climats located in Chambolle-Musigny. In the Chambolle-Musigny Premier Cru appellation, the domaine produces two crus: Chambolle-Musigny Les Fuées and Chambolle-Musigny Les Amoureuses. Some of the vines classified as Premier Cru have been declassified. They feed the estate's Chambolle-Musigny Village cuvées.

In Nuits-Saint-Georges, the domaine has a monopoly on the Clos de la Maréchale appellation, classified as a Premier Cru. This monopoly is the largest in Côte-d'Or. This appellation exists in red and white wines.
