Domaine Joliet is one of Burgundy's finest wines. Managed by Bénigne Joliet and soon by his daughter Camille, the domaine has been in the Joliet family since 1853. Its history began in 1142 with the Cîteaux monks, who produced the first wines.

Domaine Joliet is above all an appellation monopoly: Clos de la Perrière. The 5-hectare plot is in one piece and backs onto the estate's manor house. Cultivation and harvesting are carried out by hand, in keeping with the estate's age-old traditions.

Geographical location of Domaine Joliet

Domaine Joliet lies at the top of the village of Fixin, in the northern part of the Côte de Nuits. The soils are mainly clay-limestone. The vines' exposure to the sun is ideal for ripening the grapes. The Clos de la Perrière vines produce Premier Cru wines.

The red wine is made from Pinot Noir. The white wine is made from Chardonnay, planted in 1990 by Bénigne Joliet. Aging a Chardonnay wine on a plot dedicated to Pinot Noir may come as a surprise, if you forget that the monks were already doing it.

Domaine Joliet wines

Domaine Joliet wines consistently rank among Burgundy's finest. They benefit from long vinification to optimize their ageing potential. Aged in oak barrels, they are bottled at the domaine. They are characterized by body, finesse, structure and spirit.

You can taste Domaine Joliet's emblematic Fixin Premier Cru Clos de la Perrière Rouge, with its delicate, complex aromas. There's also a Fixin Premier Cru Clos de la Perrière Blanc. A rare white wine on the Côte de Nuits. Last but not least, discover the Cuvée Camille, which sublimates Clos de la Perrière. This wine is made from 80-year-old vines.
