Domaine Gros Frère et Sœur has been in existence for several generations. In 1984, Bernard Gros took over the management of the wine estate in the heart of Burgundy. Passionate about Burgundy's Grands Crus, he decided to uproot the poor-quality vines and replace them with clones. Domaine Gros Frère et Sœur harvests exclusively by hand. Through his Burgundy wines, Bernard Gros perpetuates the work of Gustave and the Gros family.

Domaine Gros Frère et Sœur is located in Vosne-Romanée, in the heart of the Côte de Nuits. The 20-hectare vineyard extends over parcels of varying quality. Four parcels are Grands Crus de Bourgogne, such as Richerbourg, Échezeaux, Grands-Échezeaux and Clos de Vougeot. Domaine Gros Frère et Sœur grows in Concœur-et-Corboin. The soils are composed of marl and limestone. The climate is very favorable, alternating hot summers and frost-free autumns. Domaine Gros Frère et Sœur harvests late to produce red and white wines of exceptional quality.

Domaine Gros Frère et Sœur wines

Domaine Gros Frère et Sœur produces nine red wines and three white wines in theHautes-Côtes de Nuits appellation. Four of these appellations, Échezeaux, Grands-Échezeaux, Richebourg and Clos de Vougeot, are red Burgundy Grands Crus. These red wines are made exclusively from Pinot Noir grapes. They have a crimson color and develop notes of spices and black and red fruits, depending on the vintage.

Domaine Gros Frère et Sœur also offers a red Vosne-Romanée Premier Cru and a Vosne-Romanée Village. Domaine Gros Frère et Sœur white wines are made from Chardonnay grapes. They have a golden color and a range of floral and fruity aromas.
